Golden Verse 金句

For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God.  So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.         Romans 6:10-11

What I got from Jesus is: Died to sin, lives to God

What I received from Jesus today is a new way to look at life and death. There is so much fear about death. Chinese do not like to talk about death. Even on someone's death bed, most Chinese do not talk about that.

For many years I have been trying my best to prepare a journey for those who were going to die.
The preparation is simple, using the message of this passage. What we need to do in our life time is not to fear dying but to die to sin. If we die to sin, then death can not be the king lording us and having a dominion over us. If we die to sin, we live to God and Jesus can be our King taking us through any possible winding road we would have.

So, the question is whether you are willing to follow Jesus' example to die to sin so that you can live to God. Jesus is your King, not death, not darkness, not hopeless, not any other thing.

Saying to die to sin is easy, but to do it is not easy. We need to be as colse as we can be to Jesus each day that we have a better chance to die to sin when those "passions" come.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us not to take the bait of sin so that we can die to sin and live to enjoy each day that you are our King and death will no more have the power to  frighten us. We are and will be alive with you as our King.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
