Golden Verse 金句

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,   Romans 3:23-24

因 為 世 人 都 犯 了 罪 , 虧 缺 了 神 的 榮 耀 ;
 如 今 卻 蒙 神 的 恩 典 , 因 基 督 耶 穌 的 救 贖 , 就 白 白 的 稱 義 。

     What I got from Jesus is: Only you!

     What I received from Jesus today is a simple question to all of us: Do we believe in Jesus, or in something called Jewish, Catholic, Anglican or other religion. Here Paul is talking about being a Jew is not the answer but believing in Jesus is the only answer because as human we all have sinned and fall short of God's glory. Lots of time we miss the main point and think that it is about the Jews and has nothing about us. Not so!

     I have been an Anglican since I was born, but for so many years I did not believe in Jesus but only in being an Anglican. I was born again when I was 26, but still I was believing in Anglicanism rather than having a personal intimate relationship with Jesus as my Lord, Savior and King until many years later.

     What is the difference? This chapter says it all. Jesus is the only way to change your life to be more like Him so that we really live in God's Kingdom living out those blessed lifestyle and characters. But, I have seen too many Christians, Anglicans and others living out those bad, bad examples as describes in this chapter: judging, lying, accusing, killing. Not only doing those things but doing those things in the name of "Unity"!

     Jesus is the only hope! Not Anglicanism or any other kind of religion! Well, of course we have so many good examples of being an Anglican, like John Stott, Nicky Gumbel, Justin Welby, N.T. Wright, Chuck Murphy, Philip Jones, T.J. Johnston, Sandy Greene and many, many! But, we also have so many bad, bad examples! Sad, sad, sad!

     I am a good Anglican, but I do not worship Anglicanism, I worship my Lord Jesus Christ! Who do you really worship?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to truly believe in you and follow you as our Savior, Lord and King. Only you our Lord Jesus Christ.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
