Today's Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5

因 為 你 們 自 己 明 明 曉 得 ， 主 的 日 子 來 到 ， 好 像 夜 間 的 賊 一 樣 。
人 正 說 平 安 穩 妥 的 時 候 ， 災 禍 忽 然 臨 到 他 們 ， 如 同 產 難 臨 到 懷 胎 的 婦 人 一 樣 。 他 們 絕 不 能 逃 脫 。
For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

What I got today from Jesus is: There is no peace and security
What I got from Jesus today is a reality that there is really no peace and security in this modern age as well as two thousand years ago in the early church time when Paul wrote the letter to the Thessalonians. We know that this book has in great volume talking about the end day, the day that Jesus comes again and rapture.
Actually, every Christian knows the message that the Lord will come any time but no a lot of Christians really care. Because it has been 2,000 years already and Jesus has not come yet, why do they have to care about.
The reality is, this message is not only for us to be prepared any time. Also, this message is to say those who have not prepared and do not have Jesus as Lord, when the day come, say a big crisis in life or a life and death situation, people will experience depression and be thrown into darkness.
No matter how peaceful, successful and secure you are now, let me tell you, there is no peace or security whatever if you do not have Jesus as your Lord. There is peace and security for certain if you have a daily intimate personal relationship with Jesus. That's what St. Augustin experienced, that what I have been experiencing and hopefully that's what you have been experiencing.
