DAY 278 - John Stott's Last Words to Me in July 2009

Today's Reading: 1 Thessalonians 1:1-2:16

Please read 1 Thessalonians 1:1-2:16 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from my Devotion on Fire blog:

You may click this link directly for the method: Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf
You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.

Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, though we could have made demands as apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.

1 Thessalonians 2:6-7

What I got today from Jesus is: John Stott's last words to me in July 2009
What I got from Jesus today is a reminder that how He used John Stott to change my life and Uncle John's last words to me when I visited him in July 2009.  You need to click the link below to my first blog to read what happened that day that Uncle John used 1 Thessalonians 2: 1-13 to teach me how to be a good bishop. My heart ached when I think of Uncle John and that I can never see him again until we meet in heaven. I gives thanks to the Lord for how Uncle John came into my life since 1991 to be one of my spiritual fathers.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for giving me a chance to be with Uncle John and how you used him to change my life. Lead me to be a good mentor to follow his example to raise up more disciples for you just as he did.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
