DAY 275 - The Only Way You Can Do Your Job Well

Today's Reading: Colossians 2

Please read Colossians 2 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from my Devotion on Fire blog:

You may click this link directly for the method: Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf
You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.                             Colossians 2:6-7

What I got today from Jesus is: The only way you can do your job well
What I got from Jesus today is an answer to yesterday's question. There is only one way for us to do the job God gives to us well. It's here in this passage:
1. Receive Jesus as your Lord
2. Walk in him
3. Like the growing of a tree, needs to be rooted deep and grow up
4. Enjoy everyday with a heart of thanksgiving

I think when you read this, you must be thinking now, "Oh, yes, I know all these." My question is, "Yes, you know. But, have you been living that out and enjoying everyday to follow Jesus as your Lord giving thanks to him and giving thanks and appreciating other people?"

What is your answer? You know, Satan has been trying all his best to turn that four points around. Just change that four points into an opposite way and you know the reason for so many Christians can't do their job well:
1. Receive other people or things as lord(s), or to have himself/herself as lord lording other people
2. Walking farther and farther from Jesus
3. Not a FAT disciple of Jesus: not Faithful, Available and Teachable
4. Suffering everyday in blaming God and everyone

If this is you, then repent and "come home"! Come home!

Dear Heavenly Father,
Call us to come home and lead us to call more people to come home so that we can do our job well.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
