DAY 257 - Bite One Another, Consumed by One Another

     What I got today from Jesus is: Bite one another, consumed by one another

    What I received from Jesus today is a warning of our attitude towards those brothers and sisters we do not like or not our cup of tea, those we cannot work together. Paul has been talking about the fierce argument concerning with whether gentiles needs circumcision. 

     We do not have this argument now but we have other arguments as always. Paul says, "For freedom Christ has set us free." But, those Israelites wanted the Gentiles to submit to the yoke they did not need to. And, they fought fiercely to a state like biting and devouring each others. The consequence is that they would consume each others with the fire of anger, bitterness and separation.

     How can we be free and not fall into this kind of fire so that our family will be free, our church will be free, our community will be free and our nation will be free in Christ!

 Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to taste the sweetness of freedom and not the heat of the fire of devouring each others.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
