What I got today from Jesus is: Is Corinthians 13 talks about love?

After Paul talks about how well we can exercise those spiritual gifts when we have Jesus as our Lord, he reminds us about one very important thing. How do we know we have exercise those spiritual gifts well?

Paul reminds us to check one thing: love. Without love, even we have so many important spiritual gifts, we have missed the whole point. And, we are misusing our spiritual gifts.

Don't try to do all those in this chapter. We can't do it. But, if Jesus is really our Lord we should be able to demonstrate our spiritual gifts with love. I have seen so many leaders having all kinds of spiritual gifts but have no love. They are just destroying every relationship and everything.

So, 1 Corinthians 13 is not so much talks about love but to talk about whether Jesus is Lord and the biggest spiritual gift is love. Without love, all those spiritual gifts might be useless.

    What have you got today?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to have a daily examination whether we can love you and love others before we exercise our spiritual gifts thinking that we are better than other people. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
