DAY 248 - Your Rich Generosity Is A Test of Your Love

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

     What I got today from Jesus is: Your rich generosity is a test of your love

    What I received from Jesus today is a call for us to exercise our rich generosity in offering to support important ministries. Chapter 8 and 9 is all about how we can exercise this important gift of love. Saying to love is so simple, but to exercise love is not easy. Here, it is about how you give.

      Paul uses various kinds of words to encourage the Corinthians in their way to offering: rich generosity, beyond their ability, grace of giving, test the sincerity of your love, eager willingness, eagerness to help, proof of your love, reason for our pride in you, the churches can see it, your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action ...

      Yes, our enthusiasm will surely stir most of our people to action. Actually giving needs a momentum because most Christians do not know the importance of giving. We need to be in the front row to stir up the momentum so that more and more people begin to follow to give more and more.

      Do you have that rich generosity? Are you a cheerful giver? Are you willing to start stirring up the momentum in your church for people to give more? 
    
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be willing give more and more so that we belongs to those who stir up the momentum of giving that your Kingdom will be extended.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
