What I got today from Jesus is: Do you have that fragrance?

What I received from Jesus today is a question about our present spiritual status. Paul was heavily attacked by some people in Corinth. Most of those people followed him many years ago but now stirring up separation.

Paul in this passage remind them of the triumphal procession of a king at the end of war. People would stand on the streets welcoming the king back to the capital and his palace. There would be lots of incense burning in front of the procession team. So, people would smell the fragrance of the appearance of the king as well as the fragrance of victory.

That's how Paul wanted to remind the Christians in Corinth whether they were following Jesus in a triumphal procession receiving those fragrance of victory because of knowing Jesus and following Jesus.

How about you? Do you have that fragrance of knowing Jesus and following Him? Do you smell good or smell bad lately?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to follow you in the triumphal procession that we can carry your fragrance of victory to fight a good fight for you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
