What I got from Jesus is: How to solve major disagreement
What I got from Jesus today is the way to solve major disagreement for Christian leaders. Today's passage is about the first council of the Church. There were sharp disagreement among the two parties. It could turn out to be a major disaster and split the Early Church into two divided parties. So, what happened that they could maintain their unity in the midst of sharp disagreement?

There are a few points for us to learn so that we can be able to put down the fire next time when it comes:
1. Allow those people who cause disagreement to explain and we need to listen. (vv. 2-4, 12)

2. Let the main leaders to form a group to discern what they should do.(vv.6)

3. Listen to what the top leader says.(vv. 6-11, 13-21)

The reality is, we as human beings always listen to no one. We judge without listening to what has happened. We do not like to be under authority. All these weaknesses give Satan a good opportunity to come in to split relationship apart and destroy trust and unity.

Don't take part in splitting your own church. Learn from the Council of Jerusalem to protect your church.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be willing to learn from the Council of Jerusalem to maintain unity in our own church. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
