What I got from Jesus is: Your offerings might give a breakthrough to your home church and more
This passage is one of the most important paradigm shift in the whole Bible. Following how Philip led the Ethiopian to be baptized in Acts 8: 26-40, Peter did the same thing but in a large spectrum.
How could that happen? According to verse 31, it was because of the alms of Cornelius and his prayer. So, what was the alms? His giving in money or food to the poor people. What was his prayer? From verses 34 to 48 we can see that he wanted to experience God and to have an intimate relationship with God. That's how he and his whole family believed in Jesus, were baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit.

It reminds me of how thankful I am for having so many opportunities to see those faithful servants of God makes their offerings. Last week I was in Toronto having a board meeting of our 150 million dollars building project "Vintage Garden" and attended the monthly progress report meeting with the board members and the project manager and his engineer. One person, Dr. S.K. Lee's offerings and a hard work of ten years makes this God-size project a reality at last. You cannot understand my feeling when I took those pictures myself at the building site and in the meeting.

Do you know that your offerings might give a breakthrough to your home church and His Kingdom ministry? How are you going to join in this WAVE of the power of offerings?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to understand that our offerings might give a breakthrough to our home church and your Kingdom ministry. Help us to give more trusting that you will provide what we need when we have the faith to give more. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
