DAY 140 - Strive to Enter through The Narrow Door

Good news for Leslie yesterday.
This is the Message from Nevia, his mother at 3:20p.m. yesterday(May 29 Wednesday):
Doctors happy his status today. May take the balloon off his lung tomorrow to see whether the mended glue work or not.

Let's pray that Leslie do not need a big surgery.

Another good news yesterday. We had a new Christian yesterday in Emmanuel 330! Mr. David Chu(one of Richmond Emmanuel Church's parishioner's  and a driving tutor) brought his student, Eva to our Restaurant Church three weeks ago. Eva received Jesus as her Savior and Lord yesterday. Please share our joy with a picture after she had the prayer to receive Jesus with some of the 330 people.

This new church plant under Bishop's Pioneer ministry started in March 2011 in a Chinese Seafood Restaurant specially tailor-made to Restaurant workers or those who can not go to church on Sunday. I have baptized seven people already.

What I got from Jesus is: Strive to Enter through The Narrow Door
What I received from Jesus today is a warning that we may have a misunderstanding of what it means to be a Christian. Quite a number of Christians want to live a comfortable life. Don't need to do anything, just enjoy a warm, loving Christian life.

But in fact, it's hard work! Please try to think what does Jesus means to strive to enter through the narrow door? What is the meaning of "strive"? What is the narrow door?

Everybody does not want to strive to do something, right? Everybody wants to go through the wide door, right?

So, what is the one thing that Jesus is calling you to strive through and that one thing is a "narrow door"? What is it? If you know, then you need to strive through that door before it's too late.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to discern your will so that we know what is the narrow door for us to strive through. Help us to be willing and be able to strive through. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
