What I got from Jesus is: Family members of Jesus? How?

Today we have two groups of people. The first group was the Twelve and some women who followed Jesus went through cities and villages to proclaim and bringing the Good News of the Kingdom of God. The second group was Jesus' mother and His brothers who came to urge Him to go home not wasting the time they thought Jesus was doing.

In the middle of these two groups we find the parable of the sower. How the seed could not grow because of various happening. How the seed, the Word of God, can grow a hundredfolds because of the good soil.

Then Jesus seemingly very strange and unrespect saying, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it."

What do you think Jesus wants to tell you?

Who can be Jesus' family members? Do you want to be one of Jesus members? Of course you do. Then, you just need to be willing to hear the word of God and DO IT. Is it too difficult for you to do?

What I got today is the key for us to "do it" and it is the following Jesus. Those who following Jesus should be those who were doing it. But, not Jesus' mother and His brothers. They just want to do the reverse thing, "Follow me, go home with me Jesus."

Who is following who is the question? Are you following Jesus each day or do you want Jesus and everybody to follow you?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Lead us to be willing to following you, listen to you and do what you tell us to do so that your Kingdom ministry will be extended. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
