What I got from Jesus is: Be little children to do our Father's work
What I got today from Jesus is a secret to enjoy a full life. The secret is very simple, to be little children to do our Father's work.
There are three things I received from Jesus:
1. Kingdom growth
Jesus appointed the Twelve and sent them to preach the Gospel and heal the sick(Luke 9: 6). With the success of the Twelve, Jesus sent 72, six times of 12 to do the same thing with same success.
2. Kingdom power
See how wonderful and powerful those 72 did? It's a show case of Kingdom power. And the power comes from the Holy Spirit. Why? Read verse 21. It's rare in the Bible describe Jesus joy was through the Holy Spirit. That's the work and the harvest of the Holy Spirit that the 72 experienced and that's how Jesus felt right away. Everyone there was full of the Spirit including Jesus!
3. Kingdom relationship
The secret to experience such kind of Kingdom growth and Kingdom power is relationship. We just need to have a kind of relationship like little children with their father.
Who could be so foolish to do those things Jesus demanded to the 72 according to verses 3 to 11? We always want security first, job security, finance security, health security... We never can do God's Kingdom ministry if we are not willing to take risk for Jesus. Taking that kind of risk need to have the trust of little children to their father. Relationship is the key!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be able to return to just like little children so that we can do real Kingdom ministries. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
