What I got from Jesus is: The best you can get when you pray
What I received from Jesus today when I read this passage is a very wonderful experience. The whole passage is all about prayers, a very familiar format and way of prayer "The Lord's Prayer". I thought what Jesus told me would be the similar message as in my other blog about our joint prayers for Leslie today at 10:15a.m.: http://discipler123.blogspot.ca/
Indeed it is, but more than that.
We need to ask, seek, knock and Jesus will grant our prayers if that is according to His will.
Actually, God has given me gift of healing for at least 17 years and the Lord used me to heal quite a number of people. But, lots of them left the church when they were being healed, when they got what they wanted. Sad! Sad stories!
Today, Jesus tells us a very, very important message. If the final result of our prayers is not to receive the Holy Spirit into our lives. Then, no matter how great a case it would be that Jesus answers your prayer, it might not be a life changing event. Only if we pray to receive the Holy Spirit, to be filled by Him and to receive the fresh anointing from them, then according to what Jesus says today, everything will be changed!
