     What I got from Jesus is: Are you unclean?

     

     This passage is about those Israelites were seemingly clean outside because they followed those complicated laws and tradition but unclean inside. Because they were unclean inside so they did not know that they were far away from God as prophesied by the prophets and still thinking that they worshiped God well.

    Let's examine ourselves according to what Jesus says in today's passage according to the Message version to see whether we are unclean:

He went on: “It’s what comes out of a person that pollutes: obscenities, lusts, thefts, murders, adulteries, greed, depravity, deceptive dealings, carousing, mean looks, slander, arrogance, foolishness—all these are vomit from the heart.There is the source of your pollution.” 
                                                                           Mark 7:20-23

     There is no way for us to be clean because it is so easy for us to follow the world's lifestyle and the cunning schemes of the Deceiver. So, what I got today is that this passage actually is the second part of yesterday's passage. The only way to be clean everyday is to listen to Jesus' call to be with him alone to a quiet, solitary place to rest and pray. That's the only way!

    Have you got it? Are you going to practice so that this Jesus' way and lifestyle becomes your lifestyle too? 

Dear Lord Jesus,

Lead us to be with you to rest and pray so that we can be clean day after day and that the Holy Spirit can dwell in us, anoint us to do your Kingdom work.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week to pray for me, my family and my ministry, remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. This campaign is also to teach you that you need somebody to pray for you daily. I have been prayed for hourly the past 1,200 days and I have never experienced this kind of peace and protection before. It's just beyond words can express. If I did not listen and obey to Jesus call 1,200 days ago to start this prayer movement, I think I would be pulled into darkness and discouragement already! I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!
