What I got from Jesus is: God Is Going to Strike You, You Whitewashed Wall!

Do you know who Paul was talking to? It was the high priest, the highest religious leader for the Israelites. His position is equal to the pope to the Catholics, the Archbishop of Canterbury to the Anglicans or the top leads in any denomination.

How did Paul describe this top leader? A whitewashed wall. Meaning a hypocrite or in a deeper sense as in Matthew 23: 27-28:

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and all uncleanness. So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

See what Jesus means? And when Paul said that he was just quoting what Jesus says and means. Can you believe a top Christian leader can be such a hypocrite like a whitewashed tombs as Jesus describes? I have seen quite a number! It is so, so sad!

OK. Let's don't talk about those hypocrites but focus on ourselves. Do you think there is a chance that you are also a hypocrite? A whitewashed wall? Are you really living out a life of Christlikeness or Satan-likeness?

How can you help those hypocrites to become disciples of Jesus?

If God wants you to say, do you have the courage as Paul did to say to those hypocrites that they are whitewashed wall?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to examine ourselves whether we are a whitewashed wall or a disciples of you living out a lifestyle of Christlikeness.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
