Update  for Leslie Friday July 19, 2013:
Leslie will be going home next week. I visited him today seeing him watching his younger sister Arale playing video games and could walked to the toilet himself with his mom's help. The only thing we worry is that he still can't eat and needs the tube to go through his nose to give him nutrition daily. He needs to learn how to eat in a month's time. Let's pray on till he can be completely recover and that Kenny can receive Jesus as his Savior and Lord and that he is willing to come to our Alpha Course in September and then baptized in December.

What I got from Jesus is: How can one be ready to die?

What I received from Jesus today is something most people do not know how to react. When someone know he is going to die, it is always a very difficult process. Lots of time will start to have anger, can not accept that is a reality, live painfully everyday and then reluctantly die. How sad!

Here in this passage we can see a good example of how someone can be ready to die, even everybody warned him and did not want him to die.

What's the secret of this kind of readiness? It's purely relational, nothing more and nothing less. It is the relationship with Paul and the Lord that Paul knew when to do what, even to die.

What can you learn from Paul's example today?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be ready anytime to die for your name's sake. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
