What I got today from Jesus is: Don't be the 2nd Moses

What I got from Jesus today is a warning to our unbelief, lack of trust to God. As in the context of the book of Hebrews, chapter one and two shows Jesus is superior than the prophets and the angels. This chapter shows Jesus is superior than Moses. And the next one Jesus is superior than Joshua.

This chapter is not talking about the 1st Moses who led two millions Israelites out of Egypt and crossed over the Red Sea. This chapter is talking about the 2nd Moses, the same Moses but a Moses who was "chickened". If he had the patient and heart to discern God's will then he should agree with what Joshua and Caleb received and led the Israelites to enter into the Promised Land. But, he was chickened and failed the job!

Richmond Emmanuel Church is in the process of discerning God's will whether we should purchase a land to build our Promised Land. Last night our Council passed a vote unanimously to call an Extraordinary Vestry on January 12, 2014 to make a decision on whether we should make an offer to a piece of land. It is a critical and exciting moment for our church. What I heard from Jesus these few days is that I cannot follow the path of the 2nd Moses. Very clear voice! I do hope and pray that all our people will have a clear discernment to follow what Jesus wants us to decide. Please pray for us! I do not want to be the 2nd Moses!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Lead us to follow you in the Promised Land. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
