What I got today from Jesus is: You are a soldier, no part time job!
What I got from Jesus today is a reminder of what He told me in 1981. The time I was working as a Music Officer in the Hong Kong Government while He was calling me to go to the seminary to prepare myself to be an Anglican priest.
Actually I was thinking whether I could stay on as a Music Officer while waiting to to go to the seminary. But Jesus used this verse to command me that I was already a soldier under Him and a soldier could not do any part time job. So, I quitted and focus myself to be used by Jesus totally.
Do you know that you are a soldier too? Jesus might not call you to become a full time pastor but we are all soldiers for Jesus. How focused are you so that you can be a good soldier fighting a good fight for Jesus and not doing your part time job thinking that you still can be a good soldier?
You are a soldier, no part time job!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to become a good soldier following your lead to fight a good fight for you to extend your mighty Kingdom. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
