     What I got from Jesus is: This Is Eternal Life!

     

     What I got from Jesus today is a verse that you must memorize. Not only very useful to you but will be very useful when you have an opportunity to tell someone what heaven looks like and what is eternal life. 

     Just like the last question Marco, the eight years old son of my friend Mason, asked me two days ago before they flew back to Hong Kong. "Uncle Silas, what is heaven looks like?" I told him of the common misunderstanding of most people that we won't know what heaven looks like before we pass away. Well, sure, when we go to heaven then we know what heaven looks like. But, the question is not about heaven. The question is about what is eternal life. Because if you do not have eternal life then how come you can go to heaven? 

    So, here Jesus told us very clearly that eternal life does not start when we are dead. It starts when we have a relationship with God. Especially we have a intimate relationship with Jesus. That's eternal life! So, heaven should start when we receive Jesus as our Savior, Lord and King and then we can have a daily intimate personal relationship with him. If we really have that relationship then we can enjoy the unity and the glory of God everyday. John Stott told me 20 years ago that this chapter is the most important chapter in the whole Bible. Do you know why now?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Lead us to enjoy the daily intimate personal relationship with you that we can taste the sweetness of unity and that we can glorify your Holy Name each day.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week to pray for me, my family and my ministry, remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. This campaign is also to teach you that you need somebody to pray for you daily. I have been prayed for hourly the past 1,200 days and I have never experienced this kind of peace and protection before. It's just beyond words can express. If I did not listen and obey to Jesus call 1,200 days ago to start this prayer movement, I think I would be pulled into darkness and discouragement already! I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!
