DAY 212 - Slave of Sin Or Slave of God

Update  for Leslie Sunday July 29, 2013:
Wow! Leslie came to our 11a.m. service yesterday and received communion. He could eat the communion bread! He can start eating now! Praise the Lord! Thanks for your prayers! God is so, so real! Jesus is Lord!
There will be a thanksgiving gathering at Richmond Emmanuel Church on his birthday, August 23, 6p.m. to 7p.m. All are welcome!

     What I got from Jesus is: Slave of sin or slave of God

     What I received from Jesus today is a very practical examination of our daily life. Are you at present a slave of sin? Addicted to something to cannot pull out? Or more serious, addicted a some kind of sin(s) that you cannot pull out?

     Why allow sin to pull you into slavery? I watched a good movie through Netflix yesterday "Flight". A world class airline pilot(played by Denzel Washington) who saved most of the people from a plane crash landing is a serious drinker. He cannot get rid of being slaved by alcohol and nearly ruined his whole life. He is free at last by a dramatic total repentance.

     You may think that you won't be enslaved by sin but you also won't be enslaved by God. The word "slave of God" is not good to listen to but is a reality. The key word is "Obedience"! You either obey to sins or obey to God. No other choice. Obeying to yourself is also obey to sin because we as human beings have so many sinful nature that sooner or later we will be enslaved by someone or something, and the end is enslaved by Satan.

    So, what is you choice starting today to eternity? 
     
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to make the right choice to have you as our King and Lord lording us for the rest of our earthly life towards eternity.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
