DAY 75 - Can People Recognize You Are Jesus' Discipe?

This blog is to help you to have a daily intimate personal relationship with Jesus
and to be able to memorize one golden verse everyday.

We will cover New Testament in one year(Dec.1,2012 to Nov. 30,2013),

Old Testament in another year(Dec.1,2013 to Nov. 30,2014).

Golden Verse 金句

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."
                                             Matthew 7: 18-20

" 好 樹 不 能 結 壞 果 子 ; 壞 樹 不 能 結 好 果 子 。
凡 不 結 好 果 子 的 樹 就 砍 下 來 , 丟 在 火 裡 。
所 以 , 憑 著 他 們 的 果 子 就 可 以 認 出 他 們 來 。"
                                                  馬太福音 7: 18-20

What I got from Jesus is: Can Jesus recognize you are Jesus' disciple!
What I receive from Jesus today is another reality check. Do you think people can recognize you are a good Christian, Jesus' disciple if they do not know you at all?

Recently, I have been thinking the same message the past few days when I attended this year's AMiA conference. The most wonderful experience if for me to sit beside a retired Rwanda bishop whom I have know for some years. I asked him what did he think when the AMiA and bishop Chuck Murphy has been described as "the bad boy". He said, "No, Silas. We are the bad boys, not you guys." Then I asked, "How can this situation be changed so that people know that we are not the bad boys?" He gave me a wonderful surprise, he said, "Just one word - fruit! When you guys bear more fruit then people will know at last you are the good and blessed disciples of Jesus!"

This is what Jesus is talking about today and this is exactly what we, AMiA bishops, clergy, leaders and people, have been focusing the past 15 months in the midst of all kinds of bad-mouthing, accusation, persecution just like a "spiritual genocide". We keep on bearing much fruit and more is going to come. Jesus says, "By their fruit you will recognize them."

We sincerely hope and pray that more and more people will recognize us as true, faithful and fruitful disciples of Christ!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be able to get rid of all those things distracting us from focusing on you as our Lord so that we can bear much fruit that more people can recognize us as your true and faithful disciples. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

**NEW link for the 12th 100 days 24 hours prayer campaign (from December 04, 2012 to March 14, 2013)

The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week to pray for me, my family and my ministry, remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. This campaign is also to teach you that you need somebody to pray for you daily. I have been prayed for hourly the past 1,200 days and I have never experienced this kind of peace and protection before. It's just beyond words can express. If I did not listen and obey to Jesus call 1,200 days ago to start this prayer movement, I think I would be pulled into darkness and discouragement already! I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!
