DAY 73 - The Reward of Giving, Praying, Fasting in Secret!

     What I got from Jesus is: The reward of giving, praying, fasting in secret!

     

     What I receive from Jesus today is a reminder of the right way of giving, praying and fasting. They are to do it in secret! Which means we do not need to tell other people we do this in order to get the praise from other people because that would shift our focus. The focus of giving, praying and fasting is on God and to honor God. 

I am so honor and joyful that so many people from Richmond Emmanuel Church joined in our 40 days fasting from January 1 to Feb. 9, 2013. Well, actually I really do not know how many have joined because most of them did that secretly. The reason for me to know is through some special time of sharing that some of them witnessed how powerful fasting is for them. I do not intend to tell people how I fasted 40 days from Oct. 25 to Dec. 4 before their 40 days started. It is not to get praise and to proof that I am more holy than other people. My purpose of doing that is just to encourage them.

You will never know how powerful and rewarding it could be when more and more people increase in their giving, praying and fasting! We had a wonderful baptism for a baby and a senior couple who received Jesus last Friday. I am quite sure that this is one of the many rewards Jesus gives us because we have so many people fasting for 40 days!

Let's continue to give, pray and fast more in secret for the glory of Christ and the extension of His Mighty Kingdom! 

Dear Lord Jesus,

Lead us to give, pray and fast more in secret that your name will be gloried and your Kingdom be extended. follow you each day that we can be more and more like to to extend your kingdom. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week to pray for me, my family and my ministry, remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. This campaign is also to teach you that you need somebody to pray for you daily. I have been prayed for hourly the past 1,200 days and I have never experienced this kind of peace and protection before. It's just beyond words can express. If I did not listen and obey to Jesus call 1,200 days ago to start this prayer movement, I think I would be pulled into darkness and discouragement already! I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!
