Golden Verse 金句

He appointed twelve—designating them apostles—that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.

What I got from Jesus is: How often are you with Jesus?

What I got from Jesus today is the secret to enjoy a life to the full as he says in John 10:10. People nowadays concern with how to live a life of quality and how to maintain our lifestyle after we retire. Here we can get the best example of how to enjoy a blessed and full life:
1. Always with Jesus.
2. Always be willing to be appointed by Jesus to the tailor-made position he appointed.
3. Always be ready to be sent out to various people and places to preach the Good News.

If we can remember these three points and live that out, Jesus will equip us with the most important thing in our life and that is His authority to bring freedom to other people.

See how Jesus demonstrated these three points in that coming three years  to prepare His apostles. You may think that there is nothing to do with you because you are not appointed as one of His apostles. I don't think so! What Jesus is about to demonstrate using His valuable last three years on earth is to show us the best example to be a human being.

Remember and enjoy these threereminder to all of us that He is Lord of all. There have been time that we as leaders being openly opposed and accused of not following "Tradition" or doing something people think is crazy. But if we are certain that it is from Jesus Christ our Lord then we should be brave to go on with what we are being called and appointed.

Let me give you an example of what I personally experienced. I received a vision of planting a daughter church in every three years during the AMiA Winter Conference in Jan.2006. I presented a paper of five pages namely "A Major Vision Casting for Richmond Emmanuel Church: Campaign 11311" to our church Council in April 2006. I was heavily attacked in that meeting by a few members and they said I was going mad. The whole plan died at that meeting. But, you know what happened? I was appointed by AMiA as Principal Missionary for Asian ministry in Jan. 2007 then started the first church planting in San Francisco in May 2007. It did not work and we closed it down after trying for one year and six months. Because of my new position I had the authority to start another church plant and that is Toronto Emmanuel Church in Jan. 2008 (I was appointed as Network Leader of Asian Initiative in Jan. 2008 and then consecrated as a missionary bishop in Sept. 2009). It is now a very successful church plant under the leadership of their Rector, Rev. Edmund Ho(Archbishop Yong ordained him as a deacon in Feb. 2009 and I ordained him as priest in Sept. 2009), with around 70 people a Sunday and just will start to build a 150 million Canadian dollars project next month, Feb. 2013. The project consists of a church, a community centre and 400 units one to two bedrooms senior condos. Then I planted two new church plants in 2011. One is FANS(For All Nations) under the leadership of Pastor Marcus, he successfully having three major church plant ministries, one in Vancouver and two in China, raising up a few devoted disciples of Jesus to do Kingdom work ministries in Canada and China. China! Yes, China! And there is a new possibility of another new ministry under his leadership in Canada. Also, I am having another new church plant "Emmanuel 330" having Alpha and worship every Wednesday at 3:30p.m. with more than twenty people every week since March 2011. It is a new church plant model for those who cannot attend church on Sunday, mostly people who are working in Chinese restaurants. I baptized five adults and one child in Dec. 2011 and two adults in Sept. 2012 in that Restaurant, Empire Chinese Seafood Restaurant.

Why I share these thingsto you? Because those are the ministries being called "outside the box ministries". I was being attacked and accused even to bring up the vision. But, with the Lord's guidance and provision, Jesus could healed someone on Sabbath day and we can plant churches not following a "traditional" way but Jesus' way!

Remember, Jesus is Lord of all!!! Follow Him and anything can happen!!!
May you be encouraged on your "our of the box" way to follow Jesus good example in today's passage!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be willing to follow your lead to experience and enjoy your Kingdom ministry.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

**NEW link for the 12th 100 days 24 hours prayer campaign (from December 04, 2012 to March 14, 2013)

The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week to pray for me, my family and my ministry, remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. This campaign is also to teach you that you need somebody to pray for you daily. I have been prayed for hourly the past 1,200 days and I have never experienced this kind of peace and protection before. It's just beyond words can express. If I did not listen and obey to Jesus call 1,200 days ago to start this prayer movement, I think I would be pulled into darkness and discouragement already! I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!
