Today's Reading: 2 Timothy 4

Please read 2 Timothy 4 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from my Devotion on Fire blog:

You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.

But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion's mouth.

What I got today from Jesus is: You may have no one, but only Jesus!

What I got from Jesus today is a word of comfort to those who have been betrayed by close friends in ministry. You can feel the darkness and discouragement of how Paul felt as everyone left him. Can that situation happen to us? Yes, why not. So, what should we do?

You need to read this chapter carefully so that you know that the key for Paul not to be swallowed by the spirit of discouragement is because he understands that Jesus is always there. Even he is being deserted by all but Jesus is enough!

Be prepared! Someday you might be faced with a similar situation.  At that time you will know the difference of being with Jesus each day or not having Jesus each day.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to cherish our time with you each day so that even someday if we have no one, we have you to be with us.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
