Today's Reading: Exodus 16-17

Please read Exodus 16-17 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from my Devotion on Fire blog:

You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.

摩 西 何 時 舉 手 , 以 色 列 人 就 得 勝 , 何 時 垂 手 , 亞 瑪 力 人 就 得 勝 。

                                                             出 埃 及 記 17:11

Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed.

What I got today from Jesus is: Grumbling and quarrelling Vs Trusting and Praying

What I got from Jesus is a key to keep the unity of your church. First, you need to know there is no way to stop grumbling and quarrelling to happen. Second, you need to be sure that you are not part of those who grumble and quarrel. Third and the most important is that you need to trust that our Lord God is the Provider. He gave manna to the Israelites when they really had no food and He gave water to the Israelites when they really had no water.

Those people who have eyes but cannot see and those who have ears but cannot hear will keep on grumbling and quarrelling even they got the food and the water they want (Isaiah 43: 8). What we have to do is to have a total trust in God and pray fervently. Lift up your hands like Moses and pray, pray and pray!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be able to trust you totally and are willing to pray in all circumstances.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
