Today's Reading: Exodus 10-12
Please read Exodus 10-12 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from my Devotion on Fire blog:

You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may show these signs of mine among them,
All the people of Israel did just as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron.

What I got today from Jesus is: Hardened heart? Obedient heart?
What I got from Jesus is the reality of a big different in our life journey. We have Pharaoh's hardened heart from the first plague to the seven plague.(Exodus 7-9) Then from the eight plague to the tenth plague, it is not Pharaoh's hardened heart but God hardened Pharaoh's heart so that He can perform those miraculous signs later.
Wow! You have seven times to harden your own heart, then from the eight to the tenth, you do not have a chance but God would hardened your heart and do His work without your participation. Is that scary?
On the other hand, we can see from the first plague to the ninth plague, is shows Moses and Aaron did what God commanded them. But, in the tenth plague, because of Moses and Aaron's listen and obey, all the Israelites are willing to listen and obey. Is that wonderful!
The willingness to do what God commands you can influence a whole group of people to do what God commands and may be a whole nation! That is wonderful!
What has today's message to do with you? Do you have a hardened heart or an obedient heart?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Soften our hearts so that we can be able to do what you command us to do no matter how difficult it is. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
