Today's Reading: Exodus 15

百 姓 就 向 摩 西 發 怨 言 ， 說 ： 我 們 喝 甚 麼 呢 ？
摩 西 呼 求 耶 和 華 ， 耶 和 華 指 示 他 一 棵 樹 。 他 把 樹 丟 在 水 裡 ， 水 就 變 甜 了 。 耶 和 華 在 那 裡 為 他 們 定 了 律 例 、 典 章 ， 在 那 裡 試 驗 他 們 ；
And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” And he cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.
There the Lord made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them,

What I got today from Jesus is: 1st grumbling.1st law. 1st test.
What I got from Jesus is a sad situation showing human weaknesses. Right after the big victory, a beautiful song of Moses and Miriam, then, three days after, the Israelites started their grumblings and it went on and on for the coming forty years!
Read carefully verse 25. God intervened right away and their bitterness turned into sweetness. Then, it says, God made a decree and a law for them. What is that law. We do not know. But if you read verse 26 carefully, you might know that it should be something for them to obey. That's the 1st test for them. If they obey, they pass the test. If they don't, they fail. Simple!
Have you grumbled to the Lord recently? Are you a listen and obey disciple of Jesus? What is your test recently?
