Golden Verse 金句

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
                                                                1 Corinthians 10:13

What I got today from Jesus is: Finish well

Last chapter Paul use the example of a race warning us not to be disqualified. This passage he gives reasons of how we can be disqualified and then gives us an assurance that God will gives us a way to an "exit" for us when we are being tempted. Just like a good coach that he knows what is the limitation of his trainee. A good coach knows when to push and when to stop. All the temptation God allows are just like all those difficult training exercises for athletes.  We need that to be a mature Christian and we need that to win the final prize - finish well.

Do you think you can finish well? Yes, you will because Jesus will help you to finish well if you follow Him each day so that you are on course.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to run a good race for you and that we can finish well. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
