Today's Reading: 1 Peter 5
Please read 1 Peter 5 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from my Devotion on Fire blog:

You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.

What I got today from Jesus is: Don't under estimate the devouring power of Satan
What I got from Jesus is a warning that the situation described in this two verses will happen quite a number of times in our lifetime. And, there is no way for us to hide. What we need to do is:
1. When a crisis comes somewhat like Satan wants to take control of you, you need to have a clear-minded, self-control, very careful, not to make a mess.
2. You need to know that same kinds of suffering are being experienced by all people for centuries. It has to happen.
3. Don't give up but to have faith. Faith means a total trust in God, a close relationship with Him that you are sure that you can resist Satan's attack because of Jesus besides you, fighting for you. You have no power to win Satan, but Jesus can. Let the Lord shows His power. And then Jesus will "restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."(verse 10)
Don't under estimate the devouring power of Satan. Only Jesus can win him over.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be close to you each day that we have a total trust in you to resist the attack of Satan and that in you we will prevail. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
