Today's Reading: Esther 5-10

Please read Esther 5-10 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from my Devotion on Fire blog:

You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.

that these days of Purim should be observed at their appointed seasons, as Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther obligated them, and as they had obligated themselves and their offspring, with regard to their fasts and their lamenting.

What I got today from Jesus is: What a waste

What I received from Jesus today is extraordinary. The Lord reminds me of how those Jews took their last chance and be willing to listen to Esther's plead to fast for three days. Then, Mordecai was honoured and raised up to be the one under the King, Haman was being executed. Why such a change in just three days time? Fasting. They used spiritual weapon and bullets to fight spiritual warfare.

So, they have the feast of Purim. Since that time, all Jews have been keeping the feast as a feast of joy and fasting. The sad thing is, the Israelites took the first part "joy" and not the most important part "fasting".

Michelle and I were in Jerusalem last year during the time of the feast of Purim. Our guide told us that this is the day that all Israelites are joyfully feasting, crazily wearing all kinds of customs, drinking, singing and dancing on the street. He said this is perhaps the most dangerous day of a year because there are so many people drunk and doing all kinds of weird things. We were quite scared walking on the streets with lots of people crying out loudly, dancing and doing all kinds of weird things.

Where is the "fasting"? I don't see that!

It is such a waste that they should have learned the most secret weapon ever in human history but they just want to take the last part "victory" of a war, ignoring how they won the war.

So, I do hope and pray that you have learned something from the book of Esther. Fasting is the key to win any spiritual warfare. You need to know how to fast so that you can be used by the Lord in a better way to win back fallen souls and destroyed Satan's vast army of "spiritual genocide".

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to know how we can fast and pray for our nation so that spiritual genocide won't happen to our nation. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
