What I got from Jesus is: Only Jesus can quench your thirst!
What I got from Jesus today is a live or die situation. As human beings we have all kinds of needs, we are thirsty for so many things. Some of the things we thirst may waste our whole life in laboring and pursuing without any real fruit like to be a alcoholic or workaholic. If we thirst for money and power, it would somewhat like drinking sea water, never can quench your thirst. If we thirst for some immoral things that can cause our life, our marriage, our family and our everything collapse.
The "water" Jesus offers refers to spiritual life. As it is written in Isaiah 12:3 "With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." Jesus is talking about salvation, about born again, about a daily intimate personal relationship with him through reading the Bible and being with him.
Many Christians know this is the only "water" we need to have each day to quench our thirst. Think about not drinking any water for a day! You won't, right? But, you are OK not reading the Bible, having daily devotion for a week, right? Why? There must be something wrong with your relationship with Christ! If this is not you, then pray and think about how many of your family members, relatives and friends are like that. Do you know Jesus wants you to help them to have the real and only "water"?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to enjoy the water you give us each day that we will never thirst but our lives will be like spring of waters helping many others to quench their thirst. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
