Today's Reading: Song of Songs  3-5

Please read Song of Songs 3-5 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from my Devotion on Fire blog:

You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.

耶 路 撒 冷 的 眾 女 子 啊 , 我 囑 咐 你 們 : 若 遇 見 我 的 良 人 , 要 告 訴 他 , 我 因 思 愛 成 病 。

                                                                雅 歌 5:8

I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem,
    if you find my beloved,
that you tell him
    I am sick with love.

What I got today from Jesus is: Come back to me

If you have watched the movie "Somewhere in Time 時光倒流70年", you should know what Solomon means "I am sick with love". Actually, Michelle and I went to see that movie seven times when we were dating and deeply in love in 1980.  The line "Richard, come back to me!" and the act of the old woman is perhaps one of the most catching scenes in all the movies I have watched.

But, this time in the Bible is about Jesus asking us to come back to Him.

It is so easy for us to be away from Jesus and do not have that kind of deep love as the relationship of a loving husband and wife. That's what this book Song of Songs wants to tell us, teach us and help us to enter into this kind of deep love with Jesus.

Do you know Jesus loves you like that? How much do you love Jesus?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to enter into a deeper and deeper relationship with you.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
