     What I got from Jesus is: Do what you should do please!
     What I got from Jesus today is a sincere request to all of us. The request is not difficult, not complicated, but lots of Christians can't do it.

     First, what is the request? 
     It's in verse 37, when those people who heard what Peter preached they asked that question: "What shall we do?" Peter asked them to repent and be baptized.

     Second, so you did that, right? You should have been doing what you should do, right? Yes or No. Why? Because if you truly have done what you should do then you should have been living in the lifestyle of Christlikeness somewhat like that described in the last passage of this chapter, from verse 42 to 47. That's what Rick Warren's called the five purposes of life "Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Caring and Mission." John Stott's way to describe this lifestyle is "Teaching Church, Fellowship Church, Worshiping Church and Caring Church."

    You may have you own way to describe this lifestyle of Christlikeness, the lifestyle of Early Church Christians. But, the most important thing is, can you live that out?

Come Lord Jesus,
Lead us to do what you call us to do so that we can live out that lifestyle of Christlikeness.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
